Bollinger Park

Located on 102 acres between Fringer Road and Francis Scott Key Highway, this beautiful nature park features a mile+ long paved walking trail, a large open pollinator meadow, peaceful woodlands, and the rushing waters of Piney Creek.  Fish for brook trout in the creek, enjoy the flowers in the meadow and the trees along the trail, or simply experience the serenity of the natural surroundings here.  This park is open from dawn to dusk.

Flickinger Park

This smaller park features a playground and open area, accessible via walkways from Kenan Street, Morning Frost Street and Bancroft Street.   Future desired additions will consist of a walking / jogging path and possibly a picnic area. Flickinger Park was dedicated in 2007 to former Mayor W. Robert Flickinger.

Memorial Park

Taneytown Memorial Park, accessible via Park Drive or Playground Road from West Baltimore Street as well as Memorial Drive, is the City’s largest developed park.  Home of almost 40 acres of open green grass and trees for shading, this park is the perfect setting for a picnic or family gathering.  Sports fields and facilities abound to host athletic activities such as football, baseball, softball, basketball, and tennis.  There’s also a fishing pond, 3 playgrounds, and 8 picnic pavilions (some with electricity). Memorial Park will be expanded to include 22 acres of additional sports fields, additional parking, and stormwater alleviation.

 Roberts Mill Park

Roberts Mill Park is one of the most beautifully serene parks in Taneytown.  The park sits on almost 28 acres of open lush green land with a large pond that is fed by natural springs.  The pond is home to a variety of different animals and wildlife, including ducks and geese. This is a popular fishing spot, with trout, bass, bluegill, perch, crappies and other fish available for anglers of all ages to catch.  There is a lighted walking / jogging trail around the pond with benches along the way for relaxing repose in the midst of this natural environment.  Roberts Mill Park also has separate soccer and lacrosse fields with lighting, a full basketball court, a fenced in playground, and three picnic pavilions.

Roth Avenue Park

Roth Avenue Park is a small pocket park off of Roth Avenue offering benches and shade trees for your quiet enjoyment while your children play on the park’s playground and tot lot.

Taneytown High School Park (and Skate Park)

Taneytown High School Park, on Roberts Mill Road near George Street, contains three softball fields, a completely inclusive playground for children of all abilities, a skate park, and a bicycle pump track. The 14,000 square foot skate park has decks, quarter pipes, grind rails, jump boxes and spine and hubba, and a concrete portion with decks, quarter pipes, stairs, rails, eurobox and hubba.

Festival Park

Festival Park, consisting of 26 acres located on Stumptown Road, is currently undeveloped. This park is envisioned to be a park designed to host large events and festivals.  Future plans include an amphitheater and possibly RV hookups.
